Telehealth or telemedicine, the remote provision of clinical services through telecommunications technology, has been growing rapidly in recent years.1 State and federal legislation and regulation have been increasingly broadening access to telehealth.2 A 2019 survey found that physician adoption of telehealth increased 340 percent in three years, from 5 percent reporting having used video visits to see patients in 2015 to 22 percent in 2018.
