Since he took office in 2013, Inslee has championed efforts to address the effects of climate change, from reducing carbon pollution to transitioning to electric vehicles. A fifth-generation Washingtonian and former member of Congress, Inslee won reelection to his third term as governor in 2020, after a campaign for the Democratic nomination for president.
