European Union Declines to Order More AstraZeneca Coronavirus Vaccine
The European Union has declined to order an additional 100 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca.
European Commission spokesperson for Health Stefan de Keersmaecker said the commission rejected the additional doses, and the deadline to make the purchase has now passed.
He said the commission is focused on receiving the delivery of the 300 million doses of AstraZeneca's vaccine it had originally ordered.
