The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday warned citizens against falling prey to fake news surrounding coronavirus and the vaccination drive. It shared the poster of an advertisement that claimed that people could book their vaccination slots via the social networking app WhatsApp. It also falsely claimed there was a phone number integrated with the Government of India's CoWIN vaccine management system, and that slots for four persons could be booked at one time.
