Delivery of Covid-19 vaccines to Ghana marks global roll-out under Covax

MUMBAI: The first batch of Covid-19 vaccines under the Covax initiative was kicked off with deliveries to Ghana on Wednesday, marking the beginning of its global roll-out. Under the initiative, 600,000 doses of the AstraZeneca/ Oxford vaccine manufactured by Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII) were shipped to Accra (Ghana) on February 23.
