During this session, Mark Hertling will address the unique leadership challenges healthcare professionals face in building interprofessional teams. He will describe the research that defines the four critical elements of leadership, and he will provide the model he uses as the basis to teach mixed groups of physicians, nurses and administrators how to overcome the fault lines found in healthcare, and how they can become better interprofessional leaders.
