The Social Sources of Sickness: What I Learned From 50 Years in Medicine

This event will highlight how health inequities are deeply tied to our social and economic conditions and suggest ways for us to fight against these inequities. Many of us aspiring for a healthcare-focused career have a deep passion to fight health inequities and the intersecting racial, gender, and class injustices. To do so effectively, we must develop a lens to critically examine the many structures and systems in our society that perpetuate and maintain these problems.
